Dave Allen suffered a devastating defeat in his Doncaster hometown, stopped by Filip Hrgovic in just three rounds at Eco-Power Stadium. The British heavyweight's corner, Jamie Moore and Nigel Travis, pulled him out of the one-sided contest as Hrgovic dominated from the opening bell.

The Croatian measured his distance perfectly, landing hard right crosses that caught Allen flush repeatedly. Allen tried looping his right over the top but couldn't find the target. By the third round, Allen became a standing target as Hrgovic teed off on him before the stoppage.

Allen supported his corner's decision. "If Jamie and Nige say enough's enough, enough's enough," he told the crowd. "Filip Hrgovic - too good for me." The Briton insisted he's not done yet, telling fans: "A few more fights."

On the undercard, Michael Gomez Jr stopped Lee McGregor in the sixth round, while undefeated British lightweight champion Louie O'Doherty added the Commonwealth title, beating Ahmed Hatim via unanimous decision.
