Daly Cherry-Evans is reportedly in advanced talks to sign for Hull FC in what would be a shock switch to Super League for the 2027 season. The former Kangaroos half-back, widely considered one of the best playmakers in the history of the sport, has been the subject of retirement rumors, but reports suggest he may make the move to Super League as he turns 38.

With Steve McNamara in charge from next year, the Black and Whites could have an NRL stalwart pulling the strings. The move would potentially shake up the roster, as club captain Aidan Sezer has already been given the green light to speak to other clubs ahead of the 2026 season.

If the move comes off, it would mean Will Pryce will be battling it out with new recruit Bailey Hodgson for the fullback shirt or with Jake Arthur for a spot in the halves alongside Cherry-Evans.
