Charlton 2-1 Derby: Campbell's Late Winner

Tyreece Campbell continued his bright start, scoring in the 80th minute to give Charlton a 2‑1 win over Derby at The Valley. It was a good rebound after the Rams' week had been soured by the collapse of Saudi official Turki Alalshikh's takeover on Monday.

Derby had taken the lead through Sammie Szmodics, who also netted in the EFL Cup loss to Lincoln, early in the second half. Charlton responded when Lloyd Jones, who signed a new two‑year contract on Friday, headed in Karlan Grant's cross to level the scores.

Campbell's strike, a fine left‑foot finish, proved decisive, and the 22‑year‑old now has two goals for the season. Charlton survived late pressure, with Morris unable to convert Max Johnston's cross, securing the win for Nathan Jones' side.
