Dominic Calvert-Lewin struck deep in stoppage time to hand Leeds a dramatic 1-0 victory over Brighton in both clubs' final home game of the season. The England striker intercepted Jan Paul van Hecke's poor pass back toward goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen, who was stranded well outside his area, slotting into an empty net in the sixth minute of added time.

Brighton dominated with 19 shots and eight on target but managed only one effort on target before halftime. Boss Fabian Hurzeler admitted his side lacked ruthlessness, telling Sky Sports: "The biggest difference is they were lucky and we didn't have the luck in our hands today." It was Leeds' only shot on target all match.

The result leaves Brighton in seventh place, two points behind Bournemouth who have a game in hand, and just one point ahead of Brentford in eighth. With the race for European qualification going to the final day, the Seagulls now face a nervous wait to learn their fate.
