Bow Echo delivered a stunning late surge to win the Visit Qatar Sussex Stakes at Goodwood, completing a famous hat-trick. Trained by George Boughey, the unbeaten colt, who previously won the 2000 Guineas and St James' Palace Stakes, was the 10-11 favourite. Despite being held up in the early stages, Bow Echo powered through the final half-furlong to beat Gstaad by half a length.

Boughey praised the horse's "explosive turn of foot" and "extraordinary constitution." He noted the race was "probably a bit messier than we might have thought," but acknowledged the brilliance of jockey Billy Loughnane. Achieving this treble at Goodwood mirrors the feat of Frankel in 2011, a fact that deeply moved Boughey.

Looking ahead, Boughey mentioned potential international targets for Bow Echo, including the Prix Jacques le Marois or Prix du Moulin in France, and a possible Breeders' Cup Mile appearance. In other races, Flora Of Bermuda secured a win over seven furlongs in the Rolls-Royce Oak Tree Stakes, and Wild Blossom impressed in the British Stallion Studs EBF Alice Keppel Fillies' Conditions Stakes.
