Big Six clubs increasingly raid non-Big Six Premier League rivals. Elliot Anderson, Morgan Rogers and Sandro Tonali moved for £100m+ this summer. Since 2016, Big Six spent £2.8bn on such players, with £647m last season (record) and £420m already this summer.

Intra-PL spending hit £1.29bn last season. Proportion of domestic deals rose from 14% in 2018/19 to 41% this summer. Clubs want tried-and-tested players despite premium prices.

Chelsea dominate, spending £862m on PL players since 2016 (mostly post-Boehly). Brighton-to-Chelsea corridor totals £263m; Leicester (£222m) and Aston Villa (£156m) also major sources. Chelsea also lead sales to rivals (£683m).

Average top-end signing now £68m. Six of top 10 summer deals are intra-PL. Spurs lead spending (£237m), ahead of Chelsea (£203.5m) and Man City (£129m). SCR rules drive Big Six toward lower-risk domestic targets.
