Arsenal have secured £122 m in UEFA prize money after a 1‑0 win over Atletico Madrid and a 2‑1 aggregate victory in the Champions League semi‑final. The Gunners now face either Bayern Munich or Paris Saint‑Germain in Budapest on 30 May.

Despite the cash boost, the club admits it cannot repeat last summer’s £267 m spending spree. Last year’s transfer budget left Arsenal with a £257 m net spend, the highest in the Premier League, while this season’s pre‑tax loss stood at only £1.4 m.

Arsenal plan to buy and sell this summer to achieve a more balanced books and comply with the new 85 % Squad Cost Ratio rule. Players such as Ben White, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli and academy lads Myles Lewis‑Skelly have been linked with moves, while Jakub Kiwior’s sale to Porto is imminent at £19 m.

The club is eyeing offensive reinforcements like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Anthony Gordon, and midfield dynamo Julian Alvarez, though Atletico values him at around £130 m. Arsenal must secure significant sales to fund elite‑level arrivals while safeguarding long‑term financial health.
