Anna Huang made history on the Ladies European Tour on Saturday, becoming the youngest player ever to win three events. The 17-year-old Canadian came from six shots back to shoot seven-under-par 66 at the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco, finishing 14 under par and edging Australian Kelsey Bennett by one shot. Huang now holds the record once owned by Lydia Ko.

Huang started with an eagle on the first hole and a birdie on the second, then added four straight birdies between holes five and eight. She closed with four pars and claimed €67,500 (£58,306), moving to No 3 on the LET Order of Merit. Her previous wins came at La Sella Open and Lacoste Ladies Open de France earlier this year.

Bennett led at 16 under through 10 holes but dropped three shots with bogeys on the 12th, 16th, and 18th, finishing level par and second. Huang's third win in her second full season puts her among the tour's top players. Next week, Sara Kouskova defends her title at the Evian Resort as the LPGA prepares for the US Women's Open.
