Allardyce Slams Spurs Players, Questions Dyche Sacking

Sam Allardyce has delivered a blunt assessment of Tottenham's relegation battle, claiming the players need to be reminded of their responsibility to the club. The former Premier League manager, who steered four teams away from relegation after mid-season appointments, believes the Spurs squad should be held accountable for their poor form rather than focusing solely on new interim coach Igor Tudor.

Allardyce's comments come as Tottenham sit 16th in the Premier League, five points above the relegation zone, following the sacking of Thomas Frank. The Croatian coach faces immediate pressure with a North London derby against league leaders Arsenal and trips to Liverpool in his first few games. Allardyce argued that players earning substantial wages at Tottenham's world-class facilities should give maximum effort without needing to be asked.

Turning to Nottingham Forest's decision to sack Sean Dyche, Allardyce described the move as unfortunate, pointing to Dyche's 35 attempts at goal in a 0-0 draw with Wolves before his dismissal. He backed both Frank and Dyche to bounce back from their experiences, suggesting they've gained valuable lessons managing high-pressure situations at big clubs. Allardyce also noted that Tudor and Vitor Pereira face significant risks in their new roles, with both lacking Premier League experience.
