UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin has ruled out challenging Gianni Infantino for the FIFA presidency, telling "The Rest is Politics" podcast he remains committed to UEFA and values his credibility as an outsider. The 58-year-old Čeferin has led opposition to Infantino since the FIFA chief revealed plans to seek private investment for tournaments including the World Cups, prompting accusations of "deception" from UEFA, CONCACAF, and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Čeferin warned Infantino he must either resign or face a leadership challenge at the next FIFA Congress in March. "Things are changing every day," Čeferin said, noting he hasn't spoken to Infantino since the controversy began. He outlined two scenarios: Infantino realizes he lacks support from the football community, or he runs for reelection and faces an opponent.

Infantino, in Riyadh recently, dismissed resignation questions with a bizarre "See you at the hairdressers" comment to Sky News' Rob Harris. Three confederations are considering a no-confidence vote, though Infantino retains backing from CAF and CONMEBOL. Čeferin rejected FIFA's portrayal of UEFA as arrogant, reminding Infantino: "He is a European -- and he was supported by UEFA, which he forgot."
