Topps announced Monday it will release a 1-of-1 trading card featuring the iconic photo of Lionel Messi holding infant Lamine Yamal. The image, taken years ago during a UNICEF fundraiser at Barcelona, shows Messi cradling the future Spanish star.

The card will be inserted into boxes of Topps Stadium Club UCC later this year. The photo gained new significance after Sunday's 2026 World Cup final, where Yamal's Spain defeated Messi's Argentina 1-0 in what may be Messi's final World Cup appearance at age 39.

"That photo is incredible," Messi said Friday. "I took a picture with him when he was a baby. The fact that we're both playing in the World Cup now is crazy." Yamal, now 19, starred for Spain in his first World Cup, while Messi will rejoin MLS side Inter Miami CF after the tournament.
