Son Heung-min scored two goals in a three-minute span in the first half off assists from Carles Gil to propel MLS past Liga MX 4-3 in Wednesday night's Major League Soccer All-Star Game at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. The LAFC forward marked both goals with his signature "camera" celebration.

Luis Gabriel Rey gave Liga MX a 1-0 lead with a header off a free kick past Matt Freese 10 minutes in. Son equalized at the 20-minute mark, sliding a shot past Carlos Acevedo, then gave MLS the lead for good moments later when Gil kept the ball in play and fed Son. Philip Zinckernagel made it 3-1 in the 42nd minute.

Salomón Rondón pulled Liga MX to 3-2 early in the second half before Evander da Silva Ferreira scored in the 58th minute for a 4-2 cushion. Jose Paradela added a late extra-time goal for the final 4-3 margin in front of 35,197 fans.

Lionel Messi of Inter Miami did not play after Argentina's deep World Cup run, receiving an excused absence along with teammate Rodrigo De Paul. Messi has 12 goals and eight assists at the All-Star break.
