Salford City are pursuing an ambitious transformation under the guidance of David Beckham and Gary Neville, aiming to become 'the best small club in the world' by 2030. The League Two side is undergoing a major rebrand, returning to their traditional orange-and-black colors from next season after previously adopting Manchester United's red, white and black.

The rebranding initiative draws inspiration from Inter Miami's success with their instantly recognizable pink shirts. Salford has hired Milk Agency, the New York-based consultancy that designed Inter Miami's badge, to create a new crest that prominently features the club's name. The changes follow a fan vote where 77.1% supported reverting to orange-and-black colors and 72% backed a new badge design.

This weekend's FA Cup fourth-round match against Manchester City offers Salford a global spotlight moment, though they lost 8-0 to City in last season's third round. Beyond the rebrand, Salford remains in the playoff zone in League Two with promotion ambitions intact. The club's leadership believes the new identity will help attract supporters beyond their local Manchester base while maintaining their upward trajectory toward Championship and ultimately Premier League status.
