Morgan Rogers scored on his Chelsea debut, giving the Blues a 3-1 friendly win over Real Sociedad in Xabi Alonso's first game in charge at Stamford Bridge.

Rogers opened the scoring nine minutes in, before João Pedro added two more to bring his preseason tally to seven. Real Sociedad equalised just before half‑time when Jon Aramburu struck a wonder‑volley from outside the box.

After the break, Pedro headed home from Reece James' pinpoint cross, and Enzo Fernández fragmentally entered the game, receiving the captain’s armband amid mixed reactions. Cole Palmer and Malo Gusto also made an impact as the Blues intensified their attack.
