The 27-year-old Dutchman, who joined City for £46.5million from AC Milan last summer, played the full 90 minutes in Saturday's 2-0 FA Cup win over League Two side Salford. Despite the comfortable scoreline, the match was far less dominant than City's 8-0 thrashing of Salford in the previous season's third round.
