Neymar Knee Procedure Revealed by Santos Coach

Santos coach Cuca confirmed Neymar underwent a knee procedure during the recent international break, with the Brazil star spending four to five days recovering. The 34-year-old missed Sunday's 3-1 defeat at Flamengo after previously starting against Remo on April 2.

Neymar's procedure comes as he continues his comeback from the ACL and meniscus tear suffered in October 2023. Reports suggest he received platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment to aid healing. Despite his Brazil record of 79 goals, national team coach Carlo Ancelotti hasn't included him in recent squads for this summer's World Cup.

Cuca revealed Neymar is now focusing on strength, speed and endurance training. The Brazilian forward aims to be "raring to go" for the 13 consecutive matches remaining until the next international break, with both Santos and Brazil hoping he can return to his best form.
