### Man United rout Sabah 4-0 in UCL return

Manchester United's long-awaited return to the Champions League began with Michael Carrick's men cruising to a 4-0 victory against minnows Sabah FK. The Red Devils' **300th match** at Europe's top table was their first in **1,003 days**.

Matheus Cunha put United ahead in the 27th minute at Old Trafford. Joy-Lance Mickels wasted a glorious chance to equalise for Sabah, and the hosts punished them as Bruno Fernandes and Benjamin Sesko struck before the break.

Lisandro Martínez added gloss in the 68th minute as Carrick rang the changes with half an eye on Sunday's derby against Manchester City. Sabah's Orphe Mbina hit the crossbar in stoppage time, but there was no consolation.
