Man City Unveils Bee-Themed 2026-27 Away Kit

Manchester City have revealed their new away kit for the 2026-27 season, a black-and-yellow design that pays homage to the worker bee — a symbol of Manchester's industrial roots since 1842. The jersey features a repeating bee pattern embedded in the fabric, unveiled by Erling Haaland in a promotional video.

The kit arrives as Enzo Maresca begins his tenure, with the club hoping his era embodies the same "energy, graft and hivemind work ethic" the insect represents. Compared to recent niche inspirations like Oasis album covers and the Hacienda nightclub, this tribute feels straightforward. City previously honored the bee on their 2009-10 Umbro away shirt.

The uniform will debut during City's Asia preseason tour, starting with a friendly against Inter Milan in Hong Kong on Aug. 1. A launch event will be held at The Harbour Pitch, a floating pitch in Victoria Harbour, before back-to-back games against a K League All-Stars side and Atlético Madrid in Seoul.
