Manchester City have completed the signing of 19-year-old forward Mathys Detourbet from Troyes. While the French club did not disclose the fee, L'Equipe reports the deal cost roughly 25 million euros. The left winger joins the English side after spending over a decade in the Troyes academy system.

Detourbet arrives following a successful campaign where he scored three goals to help Troyes win Ligue 2 and earn promotion. Because both teams belong to the City Football Group, this move streamlines the path for the teenager to enter the flagship club's orbit. City will immediately loan him to Monaco for the next season.

This acquisition reflects the broader strategy of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who bought the club in 2008. By leveraging a network of 12 global clubs, City can identify and secure young talent early. Detourbet's move to Monaco ensures he gains top-flight experience before attempting to break into the City squad.
