Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been charged by the Football Association following his red card against Bournemouth on March 20. The England centre-back was dismissed by referee Stuart Attwell in the 78th minute for a challenge that led to Junior Kroupi's equalizing penalty in the 2-2 draw at Vitality Stadium.

The FA charge relates to alleged "improper conduct" toward fourth official Matt Donohue after his dismissal. Maguire has until April 2 to respond to the charge, which includes accusations of abusive or insulting behavior. This incident occurred during United's 2-2 draw with Bournemouth, where Maguire's foul in the box gave the Cherries a chance to salvage a point from the penalty spot.

Maguire will serve an automatic one-match ban for the red card when Leeds United visit Old Trafford on April 13. Manchester United are hopeful of having Lisandro Martínez return from injury to partner Leny Yoro in defense, while Matthijs de Ligt remains sidelined with a back injury since November.
