Isak's March Return Hopes for Liverpool After Injury Setback

Alexander Isak could return to Liverpool training as early as March following his serious leg and ankle injury sustained against Tottenham in December, according to manager Arne Slot. The £125 million forward has struggled since his summer move from Newcastle United, scoring just three goals in 16 appearances before the injury.

Slot stated Isak has begun running again but emphasized it will take significant time to regain match fitness, noting the player hasn't yet reached his pre-injury form. While Slot remains hopeful Isak will be available around the March international break, he cautioned that a return to the first team squad is not guaranteed, especially given the lengthy recovery period required after months of individual rehabilitation.
