Barcelona coach Hansi Flick defended Lamine Yamal after the 18-year-old winger waved a Palestinian flag during the team's open-top bus parade celebrating their LaLiga title. Flick told reporters Yamal is "old enough" to make his own decisions, saying he spoke with the player but respected his choice.

Nearly 750,000 people lined the streets of Barcelona as the team celebrated their back-to-back league titles. Flick emphasized the team's priority is making fans happy through their performances on the pitch. Yamal, who is Muslim and whose father is Moroccan, also posted pictures of himself holding the flag on Instagram.

Yamal didn't play in Sunday's title-clinching win over Real Madrid due to injury but is expected to recover for the World Cup in June and July. The Spain international is widely regarded as one of the world's best players and a leading contender to become soccer's next superstar.
