FC Cincinnati has initiated contact with Neymar's representatives to explore bringing the Brazilian superstar to MLS, according to sources. The Santos star remains under contract through 2026 but has been sidelined with a knee injury, limiting him to just six appearances this year with three goals and three assists.

Cincinnati's inquiry focuses on whether Neymar would consider transitioning to MLS and the financial framework needed for such a high-caliber signing. The former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star has not represented Brazil since October 2023 and is expected to defer any decision until after the 2026 World Cup.

Neymar underwent knee surgery during the international break to prepare for the World Cup, where Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti has indicated he would be considered if fully fit. The move comes as MLS continues its aggressive pursuit of global icons, with Cincinnati joining other clubs in attempting to secure one of soccer's biggest names.
