Manchester City are closing in on a deal for Morocco and Lille defensive midfielder Bouaddi and want it completed this week, sources told ESPN. City have already agreed personal terms on a five‑year contract, with Lille's valuation at €100 million. The clubs will discuss bonuses and structure this week, hoping all sides reach a quick agreement.

The transfer follows the departure of Spaniard Rodri to Barcelona for €76.5 million, opening space for the 18‑year‑old. Bouaddi has drawn interest from Arsenal, PSG, Bayern and Real, and is seen as the best talent at his position in a generation. After Elliot Anderson’s €135 million move, the Etihad are prepared to meet Lille’s demands.

Bouaddi played a key role in Morocco’s World Cup run, becoming the youngest African teenager to appear five times at the tournament. He committed to Morocco in May, after captaining France U21. His last game for Lille was a friendly against Everton on Aug. 15.

City also eye Enzo Fernández to replace Tijjani Reijnders, who is headed to Al Qadsiah in Saudi Arabia, and remain unfazed by the Aug. 14 deadline set by Chelsea.
