Arsenal Still Title Favourites Despite City Loss

Arsenal remain Premier League title favourites despite their 2-1 defeat to Manchester City, with just three points separating the two sides at the top of the table. The Gunners' captain Martin Ødegaard briefly lost belief after Sunday's loss, but midfielder Declan Rice insisted the title race is "not done" with five games remaining.

Manager Mikel Arteta echoed Rice's defiant stance, claiming his players are "more convinced" they can win the league after narrowly missing out on a positive result at the Etihad. Arsenal hit the post through Eberechi Eze and saw Kai Havertz's stoppage-time header go over the bar - fine margins that could have put them firmly in control of the title race.

Arsenal's remaining fixtures are all against teams in the bottom half of the table, including three home games against Newcastle, Fulham and Burnley. In contrast, City must travel to Everton and Bournemouth while hosting Brentford, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa. With both sides chasing the title and needing five more wins, Arsenal's fixture list appears to offer better opportunities to score goals. The task is simple: five more wins and plenty of goals.
