After a busy Saturday slate, the NHL Sunday features a five-game lineup headlined by the Heritage Classic in Winnipeg. The day's narrative centers on revenge stories, highlighted by Spencer Knight returning to face the Florida Panthers, his former team where he served as Sergei Bobrovsky's backup. In the interconference matchup, Peter De Boer coaches Dallas against the New York Islanders, where Jake Oettinger and Ilya Sorokin headline a goaltender duel featuring elite defensemen Miro Heiskanen and Matthew Schaefer.
The Heritage Classic sees the Montreal Canadiens visit the Winnipeg Jets, a game taking on added significance following the Connor Hellebuyck trade and the Jets' search for identity without their star goaltender. In the West, the Colorado Avalanche host the newly reshaped Nashville Predators, now led by GM Chris MacFarland who engineered trades with his former boss Joe Sakic. The night concludes with the Minnesota Wild at Vancouver Canucks, a must-see contest per Greg Wyshynski, featuring Quinn Hughes facing his former team under familiar trade circumstances.
Betting odds are provided by Draft Kings and subject to change across all matchups.
