Troy Terry's power-play goal with 2:54 remaining lifted the Anaheim Ducks to a 5-4 victory over the Nashville Predators in their regular-season finale Thursday night. The win secured the third seed in the Pacific Division for Anaheim, setting up a first-round matchup against the Edmonton Oilers starting Monday.

Anaheim entered the finale with multiple playoff scenarios still possible, but this victory combined with Edmonton's win over Vancouver confirmed their postseason positioning. The Ducks finished the season with a 44-33-6 record, marking their most wins since the 2017-18 season. Despite the victory, Anaheim went just 2-6-2 in their final 10 games heading into the playoffs.

Cutter Gauthier, Jackson LaCombe, Alex Killorn, and Tristan Luneau also scored for the Ducks, while Mikael Granlund recorded three assists. For Nashville, Steven Stamkos reached 42 goals on the season with two scores, and Filip Forsberg hit the 40-goal mark as well. The Predators, already eliminated from playoff contention, finished with a pair of 40-goal scorers.
