Zach Wilson, the 26-year-old QB, has signed a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints, per sources. The move reunites him with Saints coach Kellen Moore, who previously led Wilson during his time with the Denver Broncos. Wilson will serve as a backup to Tyler Shough, the 2025 second-round pick who stepped in after Spencer Rattler’s injury.

This follows Wilson’s stint with the Miami Dolphins, where he completed 6-of-11 passes for 32 yards in four games, and his 2024 season with Denver, where he didn’t attempt a pass. Wilson’s career stats include 6,325 yards, 23 touchdowns, and a 57% completion rate across five seasons. The Saints also released Jake Haener, their 2023 fourth-round pick, who joined the Kansas City Chiefs. Moore hinted at adding QBs during the offseason, but Wilson’s deal marks the first public addition.
