Von Miller's first football memories came at age 5, hearing his father cheer for the Dallas Cowboys. More than 30 years later, Miller is with his hometown team, calling it a "dream within a dream." He signed a one-year deal worth up to $7.5 million.

Miller's ultimate goal is ending the Cowboys' 30-year Super Bowl drought. A two-time Super Bowl champion with the Broncos and Rams, he understands the magnitude of bringing a title to Dallas. "It's the Dallas Cowboys," Miller said. "If we're able to win a Super Bowl, it'd be a holiday in Dallas as well."

At 37, Miller had nine sacks last season with Washington and has 138.5 career sacks, the most among active players. The Cowboys plan to ease him into practice, utilizing his pass-rushing abilities, particularly late in games. "I could still roll out of bed to do that," Miller said, emphasizing his mental preparation and ability to make impact plays when it matters.

Miller recently ran into Dak Prescott in Las Vegas, telling him "this is about time" and believing the quarterback can finally break through. Family ties and his chicken farm in Texas were key factors in choosing Dallas over other teams.
