New Orleans Saints quarterback Tyler Shough has experienced a whirlwind offseason since finishing second in NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year voting. The 26-year-old celebrated by riding in his first Mardi Gras parade as grand marshal of the Krewe of Pygmalion, throwing toy footballs from a float alongside teammates Erik McCoy and Foster Moreau.

Shough's offseason included attending the NFL Honors ceremony in San Francisco on Feb. 5, where his father-in-law presented the Rookie of the Year award to Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan. Just days later, he welcomed his first child, son Grayson, with wife Jordan. "It was probably the most fun week of my life," Shough said of juggling the honors ceremony, parade duties, and new fatherhood.

The Oregon product, selected 40th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, has embraced New Orleans since arriving, following the community involvement model set by former Saints quarterback Drew Brees. Shough purchased a home in the area, sampled local restaurants, and worked out with teammates during the season. to 2026, he anticipates mastering coach Kellen Moore's offense with a full offseason to prepare, building on the experience gained from taking over as starter midway through his rookie campaign.
