For the second consecutive year, the Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans face off in desperate need of their first win of the season. Both teams sit at 0-4 heading into their Sunday matchup in Nashville. Houston won last year's meeting 23-0, but the Titans are currently on a 10-game losing streak to AFC South opponents.
Titans coach Robert Saleh emphasized the importance of momentum, stating that one win could spark a turnaround. The Texans, who had Super Bowl aspirations, are trying to defy the odds—only one team in NFL history (the 1992 Chargers) has made the playoffs after starting 0-4. Both teams are looking up at the Jacksonville Jaguars and Indianapolis Colts in the division.
Texans coach DeMeco Ryans acknowledged the personal stakes, noting his close relationship with Saleh. The Titans have lost their last three games by a combined 17 points, with late mistakes contributing to their struggles.
