The Seattle Seahawks are placing starting running back Jadarian Price on injured reserve due to a chest injury, the team announced Saturday. Price, a rookie first-round draft pick, will miss at least the next four games. He sustained the injury in Week 2 and reaggravated it in practice on Wednesday, according to coach Mike Macdonald.
Emanuel Wilson and George Holani are Seattle's top available running backs, with Zach Charbonnet nearing his return from an ACL injury. The Seahawks had already ruled Price out for their game Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. Price has started all three of Seattle's games, totaling 119 rushing yards on 28 attempts, plus 21 receiving yards on four catches.
Wilson has 109 scrimmage yards on 32 touches. Holani has 102 yards on 21 touches. The Seahawks designated Charbonnet to return to practice on Thursday.
He must miss at least one more game. Charbonnet was listed as limited Thursday and Friday. The Seahawks elevated cornerback Trevon Diggs and safety Maxen Hook off their practice squad for their game against the Chargers.
