Tennessee Titans coach Robert Saleh confirmed he will stick with Cam Ward as the starting quarterback despite a 26-3 loss to the Houston Texans. Ward completed 23 of 36 passes for 170 yards and an interception in the game, which marked the Titans' 0-5 start to the season. Saleh emphasized giving Ward "every opportunity" to succeed, stating the team will continue working with him.
The Titans' offense now ranks last in the NFL in total yards per game (246.4) and points per game (14). Ward has struggled with downfield passing, completing only 39.6% of his attempts of 10-plus yards since entering the league, the worst mark in the NFL. The Titans are also winless in their past 11 AFC South games, the longest active division losing streak in the league.
Ward remains confident in his ability to lead the team.
