Defensive end Cameron Jordan could potentially miss the start of the regular season with a hamstring injury, according to Saints coach Kellen Moore. Moore said the injury occurred during Thursday's practice and Jordan has missed the last three sessions. "He's going to miss a little bit of time," Moore said, and the injury will be reevaluated every few days. When asked about severity, Moore acknowledged it could go past the preseason and into the regular season.

Jordan, 37, has missed only one game due to injury in his career, a Week 11 game in 2022 due to an orbital fracture. He also missed a game in 2021 due to COVID-19. Despite the injury, Jordan posted "Let's get to work" on X.

The Saints have depth on the edge with veterans Chase Young and Carl Granderson, plus Tyree Wilson acquired via trade and Anfernee Jennings signed in April. Moore expressed confidence in the depth, stating they view it as a strength and will need multiple players to contribute throughout the season.
