Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti confirmed the team won't rule out head coach candidates simply because they have a losing record from a previous stint. He acknowledged fans might question hiring someone who struggled elsewhere, but stressed judging each candidate on their full circumstances. The Ravens are in the early stages of interviews to replace John Harbaugh.

Bisciotti believes Baltimore presents a better opportunity than the tough jobs some of these coaches previously held. He wants to avoid the cycle of hiring and firing every few years, calling that approach "hell on Earth." The owner expressed confidence in his general manager and roster, suggesting he could grant a new coach five or six years to succeed.

The search includes several former head coaches with sub-.500 records, like Vance Joseph and Kevin Stefanski. Bisciotti also addressed the urgent need to restructure quarterback Lamar Jackson's contract before free agency. He wants Jackson involved in the coaching search and plans to have a new deal done by March to avoid salary cap complications.
