Rams Promote Scheelhaase to OC After Top NFL Offense

The Los Angeles Rams are promoting passing game coordinator Nate Scheelhaase to offensive coordinator while making quarterbacks coach Dave Ragone their co-offensive coordinator/QB coach, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Scheelhaase remained with the Rams after interviewing for five head coaching jobs during the offseason.

This move comes after the Rams had the top offense in the NFL last season and are bringing back quarterback Matthew Stafford, who announced he would return for 2026 when accepting the NFL MVP Award. The Rams brought in former Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury earlier this month to bolster their offensive staff.

Before joining the Rams in 2024, Scheelhaase served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Iowa State, while Ragone joined after three seasons as Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator. The promotions signal the Rams' commitment to maintaining their offensive success as they prepare for another championship run with Stafford under center.
