The Carolina Panthers have agreed to a deal with free agent left tackle Rasheed Walker, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Walker, a former seventh-round pick by the Green Bay Packers, became a starter in Week 2 of the 2023 season after All-Pro David Bakhtiari suffered a season-ending knee injury. The 26-year-old never relinquished the starting job, making 48 consecutive starts until the Packers rested him in Week 18 last season.

Walker posted a 93.8% pass block win rate last season, ranking 11th among all offensive tackles. His performance dipped slightly in the playoff loss to the Chicago Bears, where his win rate fell to 89.7%, placing him 14th among wild-card weekend tackles. According to ESPN Research, Walker allowed seven sacks during the regular season.

The addition of Walker represents a significant upgrade for the Panthers' offensive line as they look to protect their quarterback and establish a stronger running game. His experience as a full-time starter and solid pass protection skills make him a valuable asset for Carolina's rebuilding efforts.
