Carolina Panthers starting right tackle Taylor Moton has been diagnosed with a blood clot in his lung and will miss regular-season time. The team announced Tuesday that Moton will be placed on the non-football injury list.

Moton was placed on blood thinners and is responding well to treatment, with the medical staff assessing him daily. Cornerback Jaycee Horn will also start on the non-football injury list due to a foot injury, but is expected back early in training camp.

Adding to the team's offensive line concerns, left tackle Ikem Ekwonu is likely to miss the start of training camp with a ruptured patellar tendon. The Panthers signed veteran Rasheed Walker in free agency and drafted Monroe Freeling in the first round, who could potentially step in at tackle.
