Mike LaFleur made his presence felt immediately in his first team meeting as Arizona Cardinals head coach. The new coach commanded attention in the Cardinals' auditorium last Tuesday, laying out clear expectations for both on-field performance and off-field conduct. Linebacker Zaven Collins walked out knowing exactly where LaFleur stands.

Collins described the first-year head coach as a "no BS guy" who tells players exactly what he wants without mincing words. LaFleur covered everything from how the offense should huddle and break to the cadence he expects approaching the line of scrimmage. Center Hjalte Froholdt captured the philosophy: "Every detail is a big detail."

The emphasis on fundamentals like breaking the huddle quickly wasn't lost on veterans who've done it thousands of times. Froholdt explained that wasting seconds "moseying" to the line gives the defense an advantage. Collins called LaFleur's presence "awesome," noting every player was bought in on Day 1.
