Micah Parsons: Week 6 vs. Cowboys 'realistic'

Green Bay Packers' Micah Parsons expressed optimism about playing in the team's Week 6 game against the Dallas Cowboys at Lambeau Field, calling it "very realistic." Parsons is rehabbing from a torn ACL/meniscus injury sustained last season in Week 15. He acknowledged that consistent work is still needed over the next "10, 12 weeks" to make his return possible.

Parsons began training camp on the physically unable to perform list and is expected to miss the start of the regular season. However, a rule change allows players on the PUP list to begin practicing after two regular-season weeks, a shorter period than previously allowed. Given the Packers' typical recovery timeline for ACL injuries, Parsons is unlikely to practice until late September, making a Week 6 return feasible.

Despite the injury, Parsons feels he has become a "much better player" through his rehabilitation, focusing on strengthening and correcting weaknesses. He is eager to return with an increased intensity, stating, "People are worried about the knee; they should be worried about how I'm going to play when I get back." He believes this injury experience will allow for a longer, stronger career, comparing his recovery to baseball pitchers after Tommy John surgery.
