The New York Giants are hiring Dennard Wilson as their new defensive coordinator, sources told ESPN. Wilson, 43, spent the past two seasons with the Tennessee Titans and previously worked under John Harbaugh in Baltimore. He interviewed for the Giants' DC job last year but chose Tennessee, where his defense ranked second in the league in 2023 before slipping to 21st this past season.

Harbaugh, hired as Giants head coach last week, is building his staff from scratch. The team also expects to hire former Ravens special teams coordinator Chris Horton for the same role. Harbaugh and New York were initially denied a request to interview Horton but waited it out while Baltimore hired a new head coach.

Wilson and Horton are the first coordinators confirmed for Harbaugh's new staff. The Giants still have interest in Todd Monken as offensive coordinator, though he remains a candidate for the Cleveland Browns' head coaching vacancy. Monken was Harbaugh's offensive coordinator in Baltimore, making him a familiar option as Harbaugh reshapes the Giants' organization.
