Tempe, Ariz. -- Cardinals rookie running back Jeremiyah Love is set to return to the field Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium after missing the past two weeks with an ankle injury. Arizona coach Mike La Fleur said Friday that Love will "be good" to play this weekend and will not have any restrictions on what he can do.
La Fleur emphasized that the Cardinals won't play a player who's not ready, especially those who touch the football. "If they're not dynamic within their own ability, I mean let's get the next guy up," La Fleur said. "So, I mean we feel good. He feels good enough to go out there and produce and look forward to having him back out there." La Fleur said no player is fully healthy at this point of the season, but after resting his left ankle for the past two weeks, Love is "feeling as good as he can feel."
Love suffered a right ankle injury in Arizona's second preseason game and didn't practice until Week 1, when he made his NFL debut against the Los Angeles Chargers. He then injured his left ankle early in the season and played on it until Week 5 before missing the next two games. The Cardinals expect him to be a dynamic weapon for the offense this weekend.
