NFL teams received an update on former Florida defensive tackle Caleb Banks as he recovers from foot surgery. A letter sent Tuesday stated Banks underwent a CT scan and is "on pace to be fully cleared for full football activities in early June," according to sources. The update comes from Dr. Norman Waldrop, a foot and ankle specialist at the Andrews Clinic.

The timeline follows Banks' surgery on March 9 for a fractured fourth metatarsal in his left foot. The injury occurred at the NFL combine in February, just after Banks had boosted his draft stock with a strong showing at the Senior Bowl. The foot injury limited him to just three games during the 2025 season at Florida.

Banks, who stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 327 pounds, ranks among the top five defensive tackles in ESPN's draft analyst ratings. Both Jordan Reid and Field Yates rank him No. 3 at the position. In 2024, he recorded seven tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles in the SEC, entering 2025 as a second-team All-SEC preseason selection.
