The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to a four-year contract extension with right tackle Brian O'Neill, worth up to $96 million and running through the 2030 season. This deal concludes months of negotiations and comes on the same day veteran players reported for training camp.

O'Neill, a two-time Pro Bowler and a full-time starter since his 2018 rookie season, was entering the final year of his previous extension. Coach Kevin O'Connell praised O'Neill's dedication and importance to the team, stating, "This organization means so much to him, our fans, our ownership." The Vikings had paused extension talks earlier in the offseason but resumed discussions after hiring former Seattle Seahawks executive Nolan Teasley as their permanent general manager.

Teasley expressed his pleasure in retaining O'Neill, calling him a "consummate professional leader" and a "foundational piece." O'Neill, a second-round draft pick in 2018, has started 120 games in his career. He will turn 31 in September.
