Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix made his first full offseason practice appearance Tuesday and confirmed he's on schedule for training camp next month. The second-year starter underwent surgery in April to remove bone spurs from his right ankle, which he fractured during the AFC divisional round against Buffalo.

Nix sustained the injury on January 17 during a game-winning overtime drive and had immediate surgery two days later in Birmingham, Alabama. The follow-up procedure addressed ongoing pain from bone spurs, with doctors reporting his ankle looks "good as new." Coach Sean Payton confirmed Nix will be ready for camp, stating, "He'll clearly be ready in time for training camp."

Despite the injury setbacks, Nix maintained his rehabilitation at the Broncos' complex daily and believes his mobility won't be affected. He joked about kids noticing his recovery but remained focused on the medical timeline. Both Nix and the coaching staff expect him to be fully cleared medically when training camp begins in late July.

The quarterback's recovery has been a central storyline for Denver's offseason, as the team evaluates his long-term potential following his promising rookie season.
