Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid provided a positive update on Mia Bieniemy, wife of offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, who was allegedly shot by their son. "She's doing great," Reid stated, confirming she is out of the ICU and recovering.

Eric Bieniemy left the Chiefs' training camp Sunday night to be with his wife. Reid indicated there is no set timetable for his return, emphasizing the importance of Bieniemy prioritizing his family. "Eric will be back soon enough to jump in there and do his thing, but he's got to take care of that first," Reid said.

Mia Bieniemy, 57, was hospitalized with "serious injuries" from multiple gunshot wounds. Sources reported she was shot in the chest and arm. Elijah Zion Bieniemy, 27, has been arrested and charged with malicious wounding and firearm offenses. He is being held without bond.

The incident occurred Sunday evening at the family's home in Virginia. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is continuing its investigation. While Eric Bieniemy is away, passing game coordinator Joe Bleymaier is handling his duties at training camp.
