The 2026 New England Patriots training camp opened Saturday in Foxborough, Massachusetts, with Drake Maye entering his Year 3 and looking to build on an MVP-caliber trajectory. Under sunny skies and a standing-room-only crowd, Maye went 6-of-9 in full-team drills, highlighted by a 35-yard touchdown strike to Kayshon Boutte. His first pass targeted A.J. Brown but fell incomplete against Pro Bowl cornerback Christian Gonzalez. "I tried to start off camp with a bang," Maye said.

Veteran receiver DeAndre Hopkins, 34, attended as a coaching guest through his connection with coach Mike Vrabel from their Texans/Titans days. Hopkins, who posted 22 receptions for 330 yards and two touchdowns with Baltimore last season, worked with defensive backs including Marcus Jones, who praised his route-running expertise.
