Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs built a 29-point advantage, jumping to a 37-20 lead in the opening quarter of Game 4. New York rallied, clawing back to win 107-106, the biggest Finals comeback ever, and pushed the series to a 3-1 hole.

The Spurs dominated the first half, posting 76 points and hitting a record 14 threes in a half of a Finals game. Four players—Wembanyama, Devin Vassell, Dylan Harper and De'Aaron Fox—scored in double figures, with Vassell and Harper perfect from deep. A second‑half collapse saw San Antonio shoot 8-of-39 and commit 10 turnovers, allowing the Knicks to seize momentum.

Coach Mitch Johnson called the loss “disappointing” after a flawless first half, while Wembanyama admitted the swing “hurts” but vowed the team will grow stronger. The Knicks’ final tip‑in by OG Anunoby sealed the win, leaving San Antonio facing elimination in Game 5 at Frost Bank Center.
