Jones will provide crucial veteran presence behind starter Jamal Murray, addressing a need that has plagued Denver this season. The Nuggets rank third-fewest in bench assists per game at 6.5, ahead of only the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers. His recent performance with Dallas showcased his playmaking ability, averaging 8.1 assists per 36 minutes with a 6.0 assist-to-turnover ratio that ranked third best in the NBA during his brief stint.

While Jones is posting career lows in scoring and shooting percentages this season, his experience and court vision make him a valuable addition.
