Draymond Green has agreed to return to the Golden State Warriors on a one-year, $27.7 million deal, according to Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul. Green had previously turned down his $27.6 million player option, creating financial flexibility for the team. While the Warriors were reportedly in the running to land LeBron James, he ultimately chose Philadelphia, and Green and the Warriors then moved forward on a new contract.

Green's new one-year deal reportedly does not include a no-trade clause. His 14-season tenure with the Warriors is the second-longest active streak with one team in the NBA, trailing only Stephen Curry. Earlier in the year, Green was part of trade discussions with the Milwaukee Bucks for Giannis Antetokounmpo, a situation that caused him some unease. The Warriors ultimately did not pursue Antetokounmpo and have re-signed Green, who remains a key rotation player despite a slight dip in production. He has expressed willingness to accept a bench role if necessary.
